FORREST HEALTH LABOR & DELIVERY WING

Forrest Health’s Labor & Delivery department needed a video that would both educate patients on wayfinding and provide a closer look at the care experience they could expect upon arrival. The goal was to reduce uncertainty for growing families while showcasing the department’s modern facilities, welcoming environment, and commitment to patient care.

I approached the project with a three-light interview setup to create a polished and trustworthy visual aesthetic while keeping the focus on the department’s messaging. For the supporting footage, I relied primarily on the existing ambient lighting throughout the Labor & Delivery wing to preserve the authentic atmosphere of the space. Careful composition and camera movement were used to guide viewers through key locations, helping them navigate the facility while highlighting the cleanliness, comfort, and professionalism that define the patient experience at Forrest Health.

Forrest Health launched a campaign in the fall of 2025 focused on highlighting departments across its facilities. The goal was to build trust with patients by offering a closer look into the people and spaces behind their care. My role was to create an environment that felt welcoming while providing clear insight into each department.

I approached the project with a two light setup to minimize obstructions during the workday. Each location presented different ambient lighting challenges, which required careful balancing to maintain a consistent and professional look across all footage. I also worked within HIPAA guidelines to ensure patient privacy, safety, and confidentiality throughout the production.

forrest health fitness court

This project was led by a Forrest Health board member who also serves as a supervisor in Forrest County. Through that role, he helped push an initiative that resulted in the construction of a public fitness court in the heart of Hattiesburg. The goal was to provide the community with a space that encourages movement and accessibility for people of all ages.\

I documented the project using natural light, which required careful exposure control with an ND filter and intentional composition to ensure flattering light on the subject. This approach kept the visuals honest and approachable while supporting the community-focused purpose of the project.

Forrest Health requested two videos that shared the same introduction but served different purposes. The first focused on introducing the fitness court and explaining the thought process behind its creation. The second built on that foundation by showcasing exercises and practical ways the space can be used, helping viewers clearly understand both the intent and the function of the court.
