I partnered with Temple Baptist Church to document their aid for the Rushing family of Tylertown, Mississippi. Their home, which had been in the family for over 100 years, was tragically destroyed by a tornado in March of 2025. Temple Baptist Church helped the family clean up, rebuild, and provided financial support.

My role was to capture their story on camera. I relied on natural lighting and on-location audio, navigating shifting light throughout the day and managing the unavoidable ambient noise of the cleanup and rebuilding efforts. These challenges ultimately helped tell a more authentic story, highlighting both the hard work and the difficult circumstances the family faced.
